What is a teaser video?
A teaser is a short 10 to 30 second clip taken from a longer video, like a trailer for your content. It shows the strongest moment and ends with a call to action, so people want to watch the full video. TeaserMaker builds these for you automatically.
Is TeaserMaker really free?
Yes. Upload a video, generate a teaser, tweak the captions, music and ending, and download the MP4. All free. The rendering happens on your own device, which is what keeps it free for us to run.
Why does TeaserMaker ask me to use a local video file?
It is much faster. Your video never uploads anywhere, so even a 1 or 2GB file is ready straight away with no waiting around. Only the audio leaves your browser, and only so we can transcribe it. Your footage stays private on your machine. If you sign in, we save your transcript and edit decisions to your account, so next time you just pick the same file and carry on editing.
Can I use my teaser as a YouTube Short, TikTok or Instagram Reel?
Yes. Teasers render in 9:16 portrait at 1080x1920, the exact format Shorts, TikTok and Reels use. Download the MP4 and post it wherever you like.
Can TeaserMaker make a trailer for my YouTube video?
Yes, that is the whole point. Upload your full video and TeaserMaker finds the moment most likely to make someone want more, then turns it into a trailer with captions, music and a "watch the full video" ending. Post it as a Short or on social and point people at the full video.
How does the AI choose which moment to use?
We transcribe your video and look for passages with a strong hook, tension, a surprise or a genuinely useful point. It picks one continuous moment rather than stitching clips together, and you can cycle through a few alternatives with Try Another Moment.
Do you upload or store my video?
Not in the default local workflow. The video file stays in your browser. We upload a small audio track for transcription and a still frame for your teaser list, and if you download your teaser we keep a copy of that MP4 on your account so you can grab it again later. You can delete a teaser and its saved data from your homepage at any time.
Which browsers are supported?
Anything recent with WebCodecs, so Chrome, Edge or Safari. If your browser cannot encode video we will show a warning before you start.
Do I own the teasers I create?
Yes. It is your footage, so the teaser is yours. Post it anywhere, including monetised Shorts, TikTok and Reels.
